Never Ending Water

Lyrics

A grain of sand holds your name, an ancient wave remembers from where you came
A speck of dust is your memory and, we are reading the signs of destiny
A mighty leader we are sure to follow but if we catch up she is sure to be hollow
Hollow bone like a crack in the stone, fill it up with spirit in the song can you hear it and..

This Love is Like a spring
Of Never Ending Water
Pouring forth into your heart, like a song
I drink from only goodness
Letting myself love again
And again, and again, and again

I hold my hands up to my heart, and pray for the guidance to play my humble part
In this celestial story of humanity, we are writing our own destinies
So step it up step it out of the ego, and let yourself fly to the sky like an eagle
And let go, of everything you know, the more space you make the more pain you can erase and...

This Love is Like a spring
Of Never Ending Water
Pouring forth into your heart, like a song
I drink from only goodness
Letting myself love again
And again, and again, and again

The snake rises up inside of my spine
Wrapping coils of light around my mind
The jaguar, is hiding in the corner, seeing in the darkness, leading me to unknown
places distant faces, memories fade away in the eagles graces
Sirakintay royal hummingbird, singing that song that sweetness heard

Let’s take the tunnel to the good red road
And if you love life then let yourself go
Into the places the eye does not see
Dance with your shadow and Waskar will lead
Quetzocoatl in the middle world, synchronized time our prayers are heard and
Wiracocha, home of the ageless, in the end we’re all light we’ll turn into angels

This Love is Like a spring
Of Never Ending Water
Pouring forth into your heart, like a song
I drink from only goodness
Letting myself love again
And again, and again, and again

Story

Never Ending Water was written in April of 2015 at a week-long shamanic energy healing course in Joshua Tree, CA entitled "Reading the Signs of Destiny" which was taught by a mentor and teacher to me, Marcela Lobos of the Four Winds Society. In 2009 I began the most painful and life-changing time of my life, undergoing what I now see as an initiation into my power as a woman, healer and guide. I was struggling to stay alive and western psychology was not the direction I knew I needed to go. By the grace of Spirit and many months of seeking, I found Ona Sachs and the Four Winds Society, who taught me the shamanic world-views of the beautiful indigenous peoples of Peru- the Q'ero and Kawak shamans. The archetypes and spirit animals who hold the directions in this lineage have become an inter-dimensional grounding chord for me, and I sing about their gifts in this song. They are not just concepts to me, they are very real beings who have helped me and literally saved my life. And for that reason, I sing to them.

Sachamama, Serpent of the South
Otorongo, Mother Sister Jaguar of the West
Sirakintay, Royal Hummingbird of the North
Apuchin, Great Eagle/Condor of the East
Wasker Inka, Gatekeeper to the Underworld
Quetzacoatl, Guardian of the Middle World
Wiracocha/Pachakuti, Guardian of the Upper World

The chorus of this song to me is about the feeling of abundance and deep, flowing love. When we unblock the patterns of resistance, we can experience the feeling of having an open heart, and this truly is an ecstatic experience. I wanted to write a song to pour that love through song into every listening heart. The energy of this song is very influenced by Sirakintay, the Royal Hummingbird, who "drinks only from those flowers with the sweetest nectar." My guitar is named Sirakintay as well, so in many ways, the hummingbird is the co-author of all of my songs.
